Christmas & New Year bin collections

There are some important changes to bin collections this Christmas and New Year.

For the Christmas week (19 to 22 December) Uttlesford District Council will be collecting the general waste bin and food waste caddy as normal.

Uttlesford District Council will not be collecting any bins in the week following Christmas (26 to 29 December).

Collections will return to normal from Tuesday 2 January. This will be for the recycling bin and food waste caddy. Extra recycling can be placed at the side of your bin for collection. Please put items in white or clear bags or cardboard boxes – Uttlesford District Council cannot collect your recycling if it is in black bags.

The following week (9 to 12 January) will be a general waste bin and food waste caddy collection week. Extra black bags can be placed at the side of your bin, up to a maximum of four bags, for this week only.
