WELCOME TO FELSTED

Located in north-west Essex and with a population of around 3,000, the Parish of Felsted has at its heart the historic village of Felsted, surrounded by Greens and Hamlets, in a beautiful rural setting.

Felsted retains the underlying charm and attraction of a rural parish, with the community and village at its heart. This is what attracts people to the area and what we as the Parish Council see as our historic duty to protect. Preservation of our heritage is balanced with a duty to ensure that the Parish thrives and meets the future needs of our community.

Felsted Primary School Art Competition

This year the Parish Council is again sponsoring an Art Competition for Felsted Primary School pupils.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing this year, the theme is “Space”.

There are “The Works” (a national arts, crafts and hobbies store) voucher prizes for the 1st and 2nd winners in each of three age groups.

An exhibition of the submitted paintings will be held in the Memorial Hall, between 10.30 am and 1.00 pm on Saturday 10th August. Entry to the exhibition is free.

Do come along and see the exhibits of local children.   Last year’s competition was a credit to both the School and the children who contributed. They were even featured in the local newspaper with their prize winning pictures:
