HIGHWAYS

Essex County Council is the strategic highway authority that maintains the roads, public rights of way and some of the street lights in Felsted. Felsted Parish Council makes representations to Essex County Council on some Highways Matters.

Looking after Felsted’s roads and footpaths

Felsted has a dedicated Community Speed Watch group who monitor traffic in Felsted and liaise with the police to keep local roads safe. Felsted also has an active Parish Paths Partnership (P3) group which is made up of volunteers working hard to maintain and improve footpaths around Felsted.

The Parish Council is very grateful for all the hard work undertaken by both groups.

Please contact the Assistant Clerk (ku.vog.cp-detslefobfsctd-32f413@krelctssa) if you would like to find out more information about volunteering with either group.

Reporting Highways Defects

The ‘Tell Us’ webpage by Essex Highways has been tailored to capture all necessary information. This now includes different types of emergencies and if issues have worsened over time. The ‘Track It’ webpage lets users see the progress of reports, from inspection to repair, and whether similar issues have already been raised.
