Scam alert for businesses

We have been made aware that scam emails from service-support@parish.uk have been sent to some businesses, service providers and organisations that are listed in the ‘Directory’ of some parish council websites in the UK, including some in Felsted.

The message claims that their business listing expires soon and they should follow options to renew, which requires banking details to be entered.

This is a scam.

Felsted Parish Council does not charge to list businesses, service providers and organisations on this website.

Please delete any emails received from service-support@parish.uk – we believe that they are attempting to gather banking details from organisations under false pretenses.

West Essex virtual hospital service

We have been asked to share some news about the new West Essex virtual hospital service.

The service is delivered by several partner organisations and is part of the West Essex Out of Hospital Care Model.

The virtual hospital launched in early December 2022 and allows patients with specific conditions to be cared for at their usual place of residence, including care homes.

They receive the same treatment they would otherwise receive in hospital and it gives more choice about where they receive care.

Attached is the press release, with photos, and links to social media posts and website article.
